Our Tour Route

Experience the magic of West Kerry on an open-top bus tour along the iconic Slea Head Drive!
Marvel at the breathtaking views of the Blasket Islands, see where Star Wars was filmed at Ceann Sibéal, and soak in the rugged beauty of Ireland’s wild Atlantic coastline. With fresh sea air and local stories, this is the ultimate way to explore Dingle’s most scenic route!

Departure From Dingle Marina Car Park

We head towards Ventry, passing by scenic Ventry Beach and beautiful views of South Kerry. You’ll also catch a glimpse of the famous Paidi O Sé’s pub.

1st Stop: Dingle Fairy Fort (Approx. 30 minutes)

Explore the fascinating Dingle Fairy Fort, an ancient univallate RATH (also known as a Ringfort or Lios). This well-preserved site offers panoramic views and traces of 3 or 4 huts and a souterrain. Entrance is €2.50 (not included in ticket price). You can also visit the animal pet farm and interact with animals like sheep, goats, and donkeys (animal feed provided).

2nd Stop: Dobey’s Takeaway / Ealu @ Stonehouse / Dunbeg Fort (Approx. 30 minutes)

A great opportunity to sample the local flavors with a Lobster Roll from Dobey’s Takeaway, visit the Stonehouse Coffee Shop, or explore Dunbeg Fort. These are not included in the ticket price but offer a chance to enjoy local cuisine and history.

Onward to Slea Head

Marvel at the spectacular scenery of Slea Head, with sweeping views of the Blasket Islands and rugged coastline.

3rd Stop: Kruger’s Bar

Stop at Kruger’s Bar, Europe’s most westerly bar, with panoramic views of the Blasket Islands (weather permitting). Relax in the cozy atmosphere of this historic pub, which was featured in the film “Ryan’s Daughter”. A full lunch menu and bar are available (not included in ticket price).

En Route to Ballyferriter

As we travel towards Ballyferriter, enjoy stunning views of Clogher Strand and Sybil Head, which appeared in Star Wars. See Beehive huts, similar to those on Skellig Michael, built for the film!

Return to Dingle

We finish the tour as we pass Bric’s Pub, Leath Thaoibh, the breathtaking Three Sisters, with Mount Brandon towering in the distance, set the scene as Gallarus Castle emerges into view—possibly even Gallarus Oratory. And just as you think it can’t get any better, an incredible panoramic vista of Dingle Bay unfolds as you approach Bóthar Fada.
